What movement does
Low muscle tone — hypotonia — is present in most children with Down syndrome from birth. It affects how they sit, stand, coordinate, and navigate the world. Movement therapy addresses this directly. Not as a workaround. As the work itself.
But the body is never just the body.

When a child moves with intention, the brain moves with them. Neural pathways strengthen. Sequencing sharpens. Focus deepens. And in modalities that don't lead with language, something else opens — expression, connection, the freedom to communicate without words getting in the way.
This is what a movement session funds.
Not a workout. A practice. For a whole person.
Why it matters here
A child in Zimbabwe moved today because someone bought a mat. That someone could be you.
Every mat. Every session. Every child who moves.
